Dan Darling has written an article on Iraq and Al-Qaida that I heartily recommend. I strongly suggest reading the first two links, which provide the initial commentary he is responding to.
It's long, and is only part 1 apparently, so bring your bag of spare time and patience - I think it's worth it.
Posted by Matt at May 12, 2004 01:03 PMit hadn't been clear to me. oh well. chalk it up to mutual misunderstanding.
Posted by: fishfry at May 17, 2004 12:46 AMI did explain that my not understanding your writing was a failing on -my- part and not yours. How that would upset you I'm not certain, but then the vaguaries of internet communication often confuse me.
Also, I don't think my writing has changed all -that- much. Once the Denali issue was resolved, and Rose overhauled my psyche, the content neccessarily shifted... that's all.
Posted by: Matt at May 16, 2004 02:08 AMI was suggesting you actually read some of the old, old stuff. Hopefully you read some stuff from back when Matt and I were dating: Sept 2002- April 2003 (officially)
Lots of intraspection. Lots of emotional stuff. Lots of change. We both used to write differently..but I guess that is the natural flow of a blog..it changes as we do - or our readership/reader IDs do.
