I'd be completely out of character if I were to post this in any state less than completely drunk, so it'll come as no surprise to anyone that this is precisely my status.
I think I successfully managed to bring back "effin" as a legitimate adjective this year. Altogether, I'd have to say this past year was an unqualified success. I learned so very much this year. I learned about my limits and how many of them were illusiory. I learned how good I was, and how bad I thought I was. I learned about love and loving and love lost and love never lost after all.
My intention for this post was a longer, more individualized declaration. I wanted to thank the people who had been so instrumental in my life this year. I wanted to shake my cape with a flourish and wink at you all with a look that could only say, "ah yes, but see?" Instead I have only this plain statement.
